very productive day...

amongst playing with the girls today and doing puzzles and bath time and blocks and much much more...Adelynn and I managed to accomplish these 4 items of which 3 were made in our vitamix:

Vitamix Apple/orange juice...turned out so yummy

Vitamix tomato pasta sauce (all fresh products) Vitamix applesauce super yummy and cheaper/healtheir than the stores

and my famous chocolate/peanut butter chip cookies...they get better and better every time!

Ok so the juice contains apple, orange, water, lemon juice, carrot, ice....and thats it.
The tomato sauce contains tomato, paste, carrot, onion, garlic, and dried herbs
The applesauce is cinnamon, apples, and water

Well the cookies aren't that healthy but cheaper then the stores and yummier and fresher...i am just amazing when it comes to cookies if i do say so myself.

It really scares me now a days everything we put into our bodies.  Does everyone or anyone stop and think about all the extra stuff companies add to their products?  what is actually healthy and not?  is it really cheaper to buy the already made stuff?  in my opinion i love me some fresh homemade products and i am grateful for the decision my hubs and i have made to better our nutrition for us and our girls.  i am excited for the other things i explore with and come up with.  I mean we already make our own pizza sauce, breads, pizza dough, donuts (for breakfast today Adey and I made donut muffins and turned out super yummy), cream of anything, soups, almond milk, smoothies, and much more....we have a dehydrator and intend to experiment more with that (we have dried kiwi so far...that was delicious).  Just for the record by this time next year I intend to learn how to make Paisley's baby food, jam, nutella, peanut butter, fruit snacks/leather, more juices, laundry detergent, cleaning products, bread by myself and many different kinds (right now Josh usually makes it), black bean burgers, ice cream, milk shakes, cooking/cleaning our own beans, freezing more of fresh fruits/veggies (this website will come in handy i hope: http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2012/10/31-things-you-can-freeze-to-save-time-and-money.html ) canning, bubbles, better my almond milk, and much much more.  For us...meaning my family...it is cheaper and healthier and thats the kind of life we have chosen to live.

our tiny princess?!

I still can't believe our little Paisley was a preemie.  She is now 3 1/2 months old and when I took her to the doctor yesterday for her cold she was coming in at 12 lbs. 15 ounces....WOW...she is still in the lower percents on the chart except her head which is massive but SO FREAKIN' CUTE!  and so today I decided to do a photo shoot of the many happy faces of Paisley:

As of today our baby is in size 2 diapers and wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes but still size 0 or 1 shoes (she has small feet like her mama), still has blue eyes and pretty blonde hair, she is happy most of the time (mainly gas still bothers her), she HATES (understatement..) being in a wet diaper, she is a good nurser and only takes about 1 maybe 2 pumped bottles a day (i can't believe the time for her to start real food is already approaching which we plan to make for her just like we did for Adey), still spits up quite a bit, gaining about 2 pounds a month, learning to grab toys, is just like Adey and doesn't like tummy time, absolutely LOVES bath time, prefers to be snuggled by mommy, when being held has to face outwards, sleeps propped up (usually in her bouncer), quite content playing on her play mat on her back, looks at the TV every time when Adey watches YoGabba Gabba, already loves Oskar (our puppy), and likes to look at books.  We love this little girl and love having her complete our family!  We are so blessed to spend everyday with her....such a blessing!

We love you our little preemie Paisley Makae Fullmer!

one of Adey's favorite things to do...

This lil' girl loves to do puzzles.  At Buy Buy Baby we found this pack of puzzles (4 puzzles 24 pieces each) for only 9.99 and they are wooden.  We originally got them to do on our trip in Vegas which we did but we do them almost every day since then and she has gotten quite good at problem solving and figuring out where the pieces go.  I love how she rarely gives up and keeps trying...i hope she keeps that up throughout her life!

she did most of this by herself

just keep turnin' just keep turnin'

tada

hooray its all done!

way to go Adey...hope you love math just as much as mommy does!

Wheeler Farms

On Thursday night we decided to go on a family date to Wheeler Farms for some fun fall family festivities.  We did the hay maze, played with the fake moving cat, went on a hay ride, checked out the animals, fed the ducks, and picked some pumpkins.  It was fun for the 2nd yr. in a row.

these three pics are from the hay maze

what would we do without our little friend

I think he is finally accepting Adelynn into his life (Paisley is another story and that one we will have to work on) but he always sleeps at the feet of Adey's bed every night until she is at least asleep, he lets her walk him when we go for walks, he is learning the commands/tricks that we do with him that we have taught her (sometimes her enunciation isn't clear so she needs our help) he is letting her snuggle with him at times when he isn't grouchy, he loves it when she eats and spills or at least eats cereal so he can lick her bowl, he loves being chased by her or when she plays ball...they are slowly but surely becoming THE BEST OF FRIENDS!

priceless...

what a day?!  Paisley was up from 2 pm to almost 9 with 2 very short naps and when we are talking short we are meaning like both 15 minutes or less.  It was crazy.  She was happy most of the time which was nice except for the last few hours and then it was difficult to keep her happy and poor Adey...I wish I was able to give her more attention.  We were able to go to the park which was fun and I was able to do a puzzle with her...but we did watch some Yo Gabba Gabba (Adey's new favorite TV show) and she painted by herself and she played barbies by herself...I love her so much.  I snuggled with both girls at bed time and that was nice.  Then once Paisley was asleep I stepped out for a breather from our very busy afternoon and Adey snuggled up with Paisley and went to sleep.  When I poked my head back in to check on them this is what I found...

their first time sleeping in the same bed together by themselves...Adey was so excited!

our girls are just perfect!  ps...paisley stirred a little as I was snapping pictures

they are in the same position every time we checked on them...must be related!

Viva las Vegas...baby!

So we headed on our first family trip of four to Las Vegas on September 29.  That morning Josh went to class and the girls and I went to "school" for a few hours and then Josh loaded the car and made sandwiches and grabbed Oskar and picked us up and we headed to Mapleton where we left Oskar with Josh's mom to be watched while we were gone.  Then we were on our way...5 hrs and almost 50 mins (according to map quest).  Both girls were great travelers and we had a smooth ride and arrived close to 10 o clock at night.  We unloaded the car, checked in, and CRASHED!  The next day, which was Saturday, we went to M & M world and the Coke factory and ate at NY  NY (we loved the chicago dog by the way and intend to recreate it at home for a dinner one night...mmmmm mouth salivates as i think about it) and walked along the strip and took the tram to Mandala Bay for the aquarium and then back to the hotel for a swim and our special dinner and watched the water show at Bellagio.  On Sunday we spent a little time at the outlets and relaxed and HAD to go to our favorite store H&M at the mall at Caesars Palace and ate dinner at the Secret Pizza and played pool and watched the Bellagio fountains again and saw a street performance and adey got a free flower made out of palm tree.  On Monday we slept in (much needed) and packed up and checked out and headed to breakfast at Hash House a go go and then went on our way home.  We took our time and had a great family vacation....one of many.  We definitely want to go back to Vegas with the girls but probably when they are older (especially with out a stroller and when I am not nursing....)

both of these pictures are from our drive...the sunset was after our dinner in Cedar City...isn't it beautiful?  one of our favorite things about Utah

me and the girls took some time by the pool to relax while Josh felt the need to stay in doors

we decided to get dressed up and have a nice dinner at the wicked spoon which was a gourmet buffet that had super yummy food... definitely once in a life time experience for us!  Josh had some unusual items like piranha and roasted bone marrow and lamb and truffled potatoes. Adey had preshutto and gelato.  I had them make me a special macaroni and cheese which Adey ate tons of and a califlower salad.  OMG the green beans were so good and they had tons of other desserts that I cannot remember the names of.  It was fun and we enjoyed ourselves!

Adey's first time blowing her hair all by herself and she had quite fun!  and then Paisley is lounging waiting on everyone to get ready while sucking on her hand which is one of her new favorite things to do right now by the way

a few of the hotels on the strip at night: Paris and the Bellagio

The Bellagio does an amazing water shower very often at night...we saw like 3 or 4 different shows

playing pool with Daddy while we ate at the Secret Pizza at the Cosmopolitan hotel...very yummy!

Me and Miss P watching daddy and sissy play pool...it was quite entertaining

ps...there are more photos here.  Hopefully the link allows you to see them (these were taken with my phone and I cannot figure out how to upload them to my blog...sorry)
