we rode the choo choo from Midvale to SLC, poked around at the bookstore at Gallavan Plaza, played around at gateway mall, had a nice lunch at Rumbi (very yummy and semi healthy), went to the free church museum and children's center, and walked around temple square all before the storm rolled in...here are some pics of our adventure:

too pretty too eat!
After we sang to Ella
cupcake is still sitting there uneaten
here to save the day!
better to eat with a fork I guess
On May 21st we went to Adey's cousins 2nd birthday party. We ate and played with cousins and talked and Ella opened her presents....it was fun. HOWEVER, the cupcakes must have been so pretty that Adey did not want to ruin Aunt Malinda's masterpiece. She sat there for a good 20+ minutes looking at her cupcake....then Aunt Clarissa came to the rescue and showed Adey how good they were...then proper Miss Adey used a fork to finish her cupcake which she only at like a total of 6 bites or so...
Hogle Zoo
We had a GREAT time at the zoo on Saturday....we invited our friends Brett and Meredith to come along. We saw dino's that spit and elephants do tricks and a gorilla wrapped in a blanket. Adey rode her first carousel which happened to be a lemur...she didn't want to get off but she was a good sport and told the lemur bye. Luckily we bought a zoo pass for the year so when we go back we will buy the 10 rides on the carousel for $12 so Adey can ride as many times as she wants. Adey got to eat an ice cream the was flavor blasted with bubble gum stripes...it was the first thing she keep down since she was throwing up so much the night before but no fever (we think she may have a dairy sensitivity). Here are a few pics from the zoo:

Julia's graduation
On Friday I only ended up working a couple of hours. We got the oil changed on the car, had weiner snitzel for lunch, packed, and headed out to Cedar City to watch Julia graduate the next day with her Masters. It was a good trip and we got to see all of Josh's family. We had a picnic and played at the park which was super awesome! It was so big and had so much to do. I wish we had a kite to fly cause it was windy. We took Oskar and he seemed to have a good time. We also went to a river and threw rocks in...Adey loved that! She didn't want to leave. We all got sun burned but oh well...it was a nice trip. I forgot the camera so no pictures other then what Josh's family took.

owie...Adeys new phrase
so Adey got hurt a few weeks ago on her elbow and like a week ago starting nursing it and saying owie...and made a frownie face....seriously?! Well tonight we were playing hide and go seek. Adey's favorite place to hide is in the laundry room. Her and Josh were hiding in there and I was the one counting and looking for them. After we were done she felt the need to clean up (i definately condone) well she caught her pinky in the door and cut it a little. I put a toy story band aid on it thinking that would help but no she cried even more. I sat with her on my lap while wrapped in her blankie while we watched toy story...she liked that of course. She had Josh and I both kiss it. Then the rest of the night she would say owie and was having her whole arm bent like she had broken her arm and just "nursed"....it was cute and funny in my opinion?!

can't sleep?!
some nights I just can't sleep because I have too much on my mind! Tonight is one of those nights. But anyway...a recap of the day: We had a great day enjoying the sun (finally) by playing at the park in our complex. Josh set up his travel tent which is one place he will spend quite a bit of his summer during field school. It is nice and he really likes it. Then we ate lunch and headed to a nice service at church. Afterwards Adey took a nap, Oskar got to go for a walk, Josh made some pizza and we had our neighbors over for dinner (pizza and salad and they brought cantalope). We talked and got to know Dave and Elizabeth of which is such a cute couple and they are expecting a little girl the end of May...we are excited for them. We also played a game of Quelf...so much fun. They love games as do we so I am pretty sure we are going to get to know them very well with our dinners and game nights...maybe even some camping or hiking or picnics and whatever else may come our way. We are loving living in apartments again in a city for this reason...to get to know people and have friends. Our church ward is great...so friendly and welcoming and the old lady's are so funny! Josh and I fit right in and look forward to our time in this ward! Josh has two finals this week...monday and tuesday then it is time to prepare for the summer...we are in the last first day of summer field school and last first day of fall semester and last first day of winter semester for his bachelors....next will be his masters and so forth. Not sure what life will bring us this next school year but much looking forward to seeing the light to the end of this tunnel of this first of 3 degrees of school....WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM AND HIS HARD WORK!
