first hair cut...

uncle evan cut Adey's bangs for the first time...

First trunk or treat

Again last year Adey was too young to really do the trunk or treat put on at the church but now she is older and had fun last night.  We went to Josh's parents ward and ate his sister, Clarissa's yummy chili (which won her a free pie in the contest...we put 4 votes in: one for oskar, one for josh, one for me, and one for Adey).  Then went and did the cupcake walk and Josh won Adey a cupcake that we let her pick out that had candy corn on the top and that was all she wanted so we threw away the cupcake.  Then she went fishing at the pond and won this whistle/twisty noise maker toy.  Then we went out side to go from trunk to trunk getting candy.  Adey was carried the whole way and kept wanting to pull the candy out of pumpkin bag at first but then when she was told to pick a piece of candy from some of the trunks she put it in her bag and left it.  She was a green fairy with glitter in her hair.  Some people said she should have her be tinkerbell next year...we shall see.  We are thinking of doing a family theme of the wizard of oz or maybe alvin and the chipmunks/chipettes or something like that.  any suggestions to plan for next year?  let us know.

Pumpkin patch...

The other night we went out to the pumpkin patch and Adey got to pick her first pumpkin.  Last year my work got some donated and so we got free pumpkins which was nice since Adey was only 3 months old then but Adey is now over 1 and walking and it was fun.  We rode the hayride out to the patch at night with Joshs sisters family, Malinda, Evan, Ella, and Corbin.  Adey wanted to sit on the hay by herself like a big girl with out holding on.  It was freezing and I forgot her gloves and hat but she did have on a "daddy's lil pumpkin" coat and she smiled the whole way their.  When we got there she went crazy trying to pick up every pumpkin making all these cute grunting noises.  We finally found her one and i carried her while she carried the pumpkin.  Josh found a big, tall pumpkin and I found a medium normal pumpkin.  As we were getting ready to leave Adey did not want to get on the hay ride with a fit being thrown.  But she eventually gave in and sat with me all wrapped up for a few minutes because it was cold.  When we got back to the barn we got some apple cider donoughts...yummy.  Then we all headed home.  We had a lot of fun and will carve our pumpkins closer to Halloween.  We love starting new traditions with our family!
